- External finish in Chromadek and aluminium for protection of corners and aesthetics
Customization
- Body truck panels are made to suit customers requirements
- Panel thickness ranges from 50mm to 200mm depending on application
- Panel size up to 13,5m x 2,60m
- Meat rails, guard rails, shelves are optional to suit client's requirements
Construction
The insulated truck bodies are manufactured with metal clad insulated panels or fibre enforced polyester panels which are odour-free and easy to clean, thus extremely hygienic. The panels consist of two selected stress metal skins, free of imperfections and damage, permanently bonded to the low temperature polystyrene core by means of a heat polymerizing adhesive. This process guarantees the highest possible isolation resulting in:
- Lower energy consumption
- Lower fuel consumption of your vehicle
Panel Jointing
The panels are joined by means of male/female insertions to which a non hardening (always flexible) butyl rubber base mastic is applied. Panels are then compressed and fixed in position. After this, the joints are internally and externally sealed with a silicon sealer. The advantages of these Dalucon flexible connections are -
- No 'cracking' of joints after a period of use
- Easy cleaning
- High hygienic standard up to European specifications
Insulation Core
The core consists of virgin grade expanded polystyrene or polyurethane and can be provided in a variety of thickness and densities to suit the application.
Panel Finishing
The panels can be clad with various finishes to suit the client's particular needs:
- Galvanised steel, coated with a baked silicone polyester in a frost
white colour (Chromadek), for all purpose use;
- Stainless steel. This high grade finish is very hygienic and durable.
Doors
The doors are of robust construction with the same insulation and cladding as the wall panels. The doors are fitted with a double seal neoprene type gasket to give an air tight seal. A stainless steel protection plate is fitted on the lower part of the door to prevent damage from continuous opening and closing.
Floors
Floors can be made from standard sandwiched panels, reinforced on the upper surface with a 12mm plywood and covered with stainless steel, galvanised steel or lined with fibreglass. Drainage system can be fitted at the customer's request.
Sub-frame (Steel body)
The complete insulated body is mounted on a rigid mild steel sub-frame and bolted to the chassis of the truck or bakkie. The base can either be not-dipped galvanised or epoxy painted. The insulated container type body can be manufactured in stainless steel 3CR12 3mm thick with forklift pockets and lifting eyes to facilitate easy transporting and handling to site. |
